Questions about the Institute
Is Satoru AI Institute a training company?
No. The Institute currently focuses on ideas, articles, frameworks, discussion, and research. Training is a separate part of the wider Satoru ecosystem.
Does the Institute sell courses?
Not at present. The first priority is to develop a clear body of thought around AI capability and human–AI collaboration.
What is AI capability?
AI capability is how effectively a person can work, think, learn, communicate, verify, create, and make decisions with AI.
Is AI capability the same as intelligence or IQ?
No. Traditional intelligence tests may measure reasoning, pattern recognition, memory, or processing speed. AI capability concerns how a person collaborates with AI in real situations. The two may influence one another, but they are not the same.
Can AI capability be learned?
Yes. Curiosity, context building, verification, reflection, and workflow design can all improve through practice.
Will there be an assessment or credential?
Possibly in the future. Any assessment should be based on authentic evidence of capability rather than only speed or multiple-choice questions. Early versions may be open and free, with more advanced levels requiring prior evidence and deeper review.
Can readers discuss the articles?
That is part of the vision. Discussions may be moderated by the author, supported by AI that groups recurring themes, summarises responses, and surfaces useful disagreement or examples.
Can people quote the Institute’s ideas?
Yes, with appropriate attribution. One goal is to publish ideas that resonate with people and give language to experiences they already recognise.
Does the Institute believe AI will replace most people?
The Institute does not begin from that assumption. We are more interested in how AI can expand the capability, independence, and options of individuals while preserving human responsibility.
What does “Satoru” mean here?
It points toward understanding, awareness, and deeper insight. The Institute is concerned not only with using AI, but with how AI changes the way people understand themselves and the world.
